User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThis hotel is great, but the service, is spotty, I'll split my review into parts to show you.
THE SERVICE
The service wasn't all that good. They never had to come up to our room but still, they really don't try hard with the service.
THE FOOD
The Room serivice we recieved was excellent. The Apple Pie I had was completely to die for.
THE ROOM
The room was good and clean, the view was okay, it had a partial view of the river, but was blocked by a few buildings.
THE LOCATION
The location isn't bad, however, on a few sides, there is construction.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWe would recommend this hotel especially for out of town guest, location was very convenient to attractions. The room was spacious; we enjoyed the living area being separate from the bedroom. We stayed on the fourth floor, there was construction on this particular side of the tower but we didn't mind.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMy husband and I stayed at the Galt Hotel during 2008 Memorial Weekend to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. We loved the hotel & had the best service ever! The room was nice with a view of the courtyard and partial river. We ate at the Magnolian Cafe & the food was good & the service was great! The hotel has lots of knowledgeable staff. Especially their bell staff by the name of Frank Green. He went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. The front desk was very friendly. This hotel is the only hotel on the river. Walking distance to the Ali Museum, Slugger Musuem, Belle of Louisville, Glassworks & 4th St Live. Only need a car if you're going to Churchill Downs. You must check out the Rivue if you stay at the hotel. It's breath taking! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone & we look forward to staying here again. I wished we had booked our stay to be longer. We felt safe walking the streets at night. We had a awesome time in Louisville & a fanstatic stay in the Galt House Hotel & Suites.
