User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsNeeds Work: This school has the lowest test scores of all middle schools in Jefferson County. Regardless of how wonderful the last reviewer thinks the staff is, the scores speak for themselves. I speak from the experiences of a parent who is desperate to get their gifted child out of this school. This is my childs second year in this school and she has never brought homework home. When I question the teachers I am told that, because the majority of students wouldn't do it anyway, they don't even assign in anymore. I think this is a great testament to the views of the teaching staff in this school - they have just given up.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsschool deserves more than one star. at least three: western middle isn't the worst it isnt the best you have teachers who care and teachers who dont faculty who cares, faculty who dont, and the 8th grade counselor, aint namin no names, is cool. we got a new principal and she is turning this around at western middle people need to stard giving western credit for what the school is working on. we get laptops too.
