Bethany Memorial Cemetery

Twice now my family has been horrified by misinformation and false verbal information given to us about location of our cemetary plots. BEWARE! What you are told is NOT necessarily the truth in what you are being sold !!!! Be specific about your request, but even more important DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU ARE TOLD - GET IT IN CLEAR, LEGIBLE, UNDERSTANDABLE WRITING ... with NO PLOT CODES, but clear location information IN WRITING with a MAP! I have no respect for the people who run this cemetary and the dealings I have had with them. TWICE our plots have not been where we requested or where we were told when we bought them ... once we found out only when they buried someone else in one of the plots we were told were what we had purchased and told they couldn't do anything about the error, but give us a discount on another plot location ... which AGAIN, just this past week we discovered (at the time of burial for one of my relatives) that the code of the plot on our contract was not the actual plot we had requested AND had been told was ours ! They were going to bury our relative in an entirely different location from where we had requested and were told we were buying !! What a time to have to go through such a traumatic and disheartening ordeal ! I tried to get the person presently running this cemetary to work with me and my family. First all I got was a "sorry, there's nothing I can do." (Pretty much a "too bad about your luck, what you gonna do about it?" attitude). My heart already broken over the loss of a loved one .... then THIS !!! Then, I was told I could possibly obtain another site next to another one I had already purchased. I agreed to this and awaited his call. He called, said it was being taken care of (warning - again this was word of mouth!) and that the prior owners of the plots next to my other ones were in agreement to transfer these with the ones I had NOT requested, nor wanted and that they were coming in to sign the papers the next morning and he would call me as soon as they did this. Three days later and I still haven't heard from him. Betrayal of trust? I'd say most definitely! I will await to see if my situation gets rectified. If it does, then I will gladly write another review to this affect. But I promise this will not be the end of it, if satisfaction is not received.
