Never shop there again: I think Best Buy should change their name to Worst Buy. We bought a computer from them. They lied to us what was covered underneath the warranty. When we bought the computer the Media Center did not work on it. So we took it back for them to fix it. Best Buy told us fine they would that it was covered underneath the warranty. They failed at fixing it. So we took it back to them. They told us they would look at it for $70 that the Media Center was not covered underneath the warranty. I explain to them that they had told us before it was and that really shouldn't matter anyway since the media center has never worked on it. Best Buy told me tough luck. That they were not responsible when they sold a computer and part of the software would not work. That sometimes heat gets to the software and makes it faulty. Best Buy feels they are not responsible when that happens. I left the store and will not ever shop there again until they make this purchase right!!!! So I think everyone should think twice before buy anything from Best Buy. You never know if they are going to stand behind the merchandise once you buy it.

What brand was the computer?Have you contacted them concerning the merchandise?If I was you I wouldn't stop till my computer is in working order.
You must misunderstood what is covered by Best Buy. Software almost never covered under any warrenty at any computer store, only hardware. If the fan of the pc is not working, yes it's their responsibility to fix it, but if your media player doesn't work it's not their job to fix. They have the contract for selling the product and replace the parts but not fix the software. Please learn how to use the computer before blame on anyone.
Best Buy should repair or replace the computer or do whatever makes the customer Happy. "Word of mouth is their best advertisement" Their reputation should be their #1 priority.
