Applebee's Bruschetta Burger: I decided to try something different at Applebees. After looking at their new menu items promoting "Huge Flavors" by Chef Tyler Florence, I tried the Bruschetta Burger. This the absolute best burger I've ever had! The thick, Angus burger comes on grilled foccacia bread, crusty and tasty. They add thick slices of mozarella cheese on the bottom, and then top the burger with zesty pesto sauce and fresh bruschetta mix, topped further with wonderfully tasting herbs that leave a sweet taste in your mouth (not greasy like burgers normally do).

The side dish are garlic fries with shaved parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. The fries too are seasoned with herbs that give them a unique taste. They must fry these in olive oil, as there was a small dab of this seasoned oil in the bottom of the bowl the fries were served it. It made for a wonderful "dip" for these garlie fries.

Also new on their menu is Apple Sangria. Even though summer is long gone, this went really well as a light drink with my dinner.

I highly recommend this new menu item at Applebee's Restaurant!

Average: I've went to this restaurant several times because it happens to be my boyfriend's (and his family, who seem to be fans of dull food) favorite. Although our service has always been great, I find the menu and the food dull and boring. The same average menu items you'd expect at any other chain restaurant, cooking in the same average way, gives you average food. I've eaten more than a dozen items off the menu, and nothing strikes me as tasty or new.
