I purchased a 700 watt GE microwave oven in 2005, model number JES738. The oven worked fine until this year 2007, thatâs when the ovenâs door latch release stop working properly ( e.g. I could close the door, but I had trouble opening it.) and the oven stop cooking also, but the LCD press pad display was still working. I checked the warranty on the oven and it was a limited one year warranty. I feel as a consumer, I didnât get my moneyâs worth when I bought this oven. Therefore, I make the following suggestions. First ,GE should consider reexamining the initial design process for this oven to see if any potential problems were missed with the design that could cause problems for the consumers who have these ovens. Lastly, if any missed problems are found with the ovenâs design then GE should consider retroactively extending the ovens warranties for consumers who have them to provide a way for consumers with malfunctioning ovens with expired warranties to get some kind of restitution or dispensation for their trouble with these ovens.
Thank you for reading my review.
I took delivery of my washer unit # WJSR4160G WW on 02/28/2007. GE had to send a repair tech out for repair the wahser was delivered with a faulty timer . Since that reapir the the tech was called back out on 09/17/2007 the machine was bouncing and shaking accross the floor. It took a week for the appointment the tech was scheduled 09/24/2007. Now today I had to call for service on the same issue of the nut coming loose and making the machine scoot around. My wife was told by the tech that they have had several calls on the same issue that it was a manufacturer issue @ the assembly of machine this is uneceptable. please contact me on the issue and your call center employees need to be a little nicer to the consumer! thank You!
