User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI can't say enough nice things about Dr. Mattingly. I have always had every confidence in him. I have found him to be very thurough and caring. The only bad thing is you have to go through the office staff to get to him. This is not always a good experience. I have repeatedly had little or no success getting messages to him. With insurance companies being what they are today, more of a burden of communication is placed on the patient. When the insurance company will not cover a particular prescribed drug the patient has to do all the leg work. As a patient I fell very ill-equiped to handle some of these issues. I realize this is not the fault of the Drs. office but the extremely poor communication is. If this is a result of understaffing they have my sympathy. I know that everyone is experiencing cut backs. But, I have seen this time and time again with this office. It is extremely frustrating when you have to play endless phone tag aand it winds up taking as much as a week longer than it should to get a prescription that you need. I have been told I should pay full price and worry about getting my money back later. I cannot depend on the Drs. office or the insurance company to see that I get any help in getting my money back. Been there, done that!. I deal with other Drs. offices and specialist and NEVER have the difficulties I have with this office. I had rather be beat than try to solve a problem on the phone with that office. I am pretty sure they are getting sick of me too. Wonderful Doctors there, I like them all. Just beware of situations where you need to depend on the office staff for communication with your Dr.

Dr. Mattingly is a great doctor and my husband has been really pleased with him, however, the practice itself is not well run. We've gone from Dr. Farrar to Dr. Spalding to Dr. Mattingly...and they don't tell you when your doctor leaves. So now they're down 30% of their physicians and it takes more than 15 minutes on wait just to get an appointment. We probably won't stay with them much longer just becasue it's so hard to get to them!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAlways A Very Caring Doctor: Dr. Mattingly is the type of doctor who will sit and listen and make sure everything is taken care of. Dr. Mattingly has always been a very caring doctor and my husband, mother, and I have been seeing him for six years.

Couldn't agree with you more!!
I couldn't have said it better myself. I have been going to the Center since I was 12 years old. And to be treated worse than you would treat your worst enemy. I have never been so rudely talked to in my life. Can't say enough great things about the doctors there at the Center, But thier staff needs an attitude adjustment BADLY....Done with them and hate that I have to give up such a great doctor.
