I agree with the other two reviews, the food here is always prepared just right. The best wonton soup I have ever had and I have travelled all over. My favorites are the Spicy Cashew Chicken, VietNamese egg rolls, and an item that is no longer on the menu but they are kind enough to still serve it to me, the Chief's Wanton Noodle to which I add Kim Chee to make it more spicy. The service is always excellent and over the years i came to feel right at home here.
I have traveled practically the whole United States and have eaten at many Chinese food restaurants. Two years ago we settled here in Georgetown and decided to try the Plum Tree. The food is magnificant, much better than I have tasted in my travels. The people who run the place are very kind and social. They have shared that they make many of thier own sauces including the sweet and sour sauce, which is divine. The food is always hot and fresh. I have never been dissappointed with any foods I have tried there. If my family and I ever relocate, I can only hope to find food nearly as good as here. If not, then we'll just have to visit when we can. If you are truly a lover of Chinese cuisine, you will not be let down...try it!
The best Chinese restaurant I've ever been to: I remember eating at Plum Tree as a little kid and loving it. As I grew up, my family and I would eat there on most Sundays. Then one day we had to move three hours away. Every time we went back to the area I would make sure to eat at Plum Tree. Now I'm 24 and live in Louisville. I've probably eaten at close to 100 different Chinese restaurants in my lifetime and not one even comes close to Plum Tree. You may think that my high opinion of this restaurant is based in part on my memories of it, but I'm not sentimental about it at all. They simply have amazing food. It's really unbelievable. Be prepared to have higher standards of Chinese food after eating here and to annoy your friends and family by saying things like, "this doesn't even come close to Plum Tree's Chinese food."
