This place USED to be great! My son and I go down to Red River Gorge two or three times a year for backpacking and camping, and always stop for an Awesome, Miguel's pizza. The last time we went there, Sept. 4, 2010, was less than desireable. I know, I know! I know what you are thinking! All the climbers rave about this place! All of the other reviews rank Miguel's as a haven of pizza. And, ya know, when they are on their game, buddy, their pizza IS fantastic! The employees are nice. The atmosphere is inviting and friendly. You will meet people from all over the Globe. It is a fun expierience. Anyhow, we ordered our's to go. So we grabbed a seat by the little window that has a bottle opener tethered there, so the people can open their bottles of Ale-8-One and deposit the caps in a fish bowl sitting there. As I am looking around, I noticed the bearded guy in the back, who makes the pizza, running his fingers through his hair, wipe his hands on his pants and begin to make someones pizza! I am shocked! Did I just see what I thought I saw? Shortly, when the guy called my name and handed my pizza to me, I opened the lid to look it over and saw it was NOT done and it did not have the right toppings. Ok, the line was back to the door. Every booth filled and I just saw the cook comb his hair with his fingers! I am not about to complain and send it back. I know it will come back with some extra "toppings" that I did not order. We will NEVER eat here again, the trust has been broken! Some will dismiss this review, mostly the climbers because they can camp in the back field for $2.00 a night! Who can beat that, right! This is just to let you know my expierience. Someone who has been eating at Miguel's for years. This IS sad for my son and me, because we really enjoyed Miguel's. It was a tradition for us.

I go down to the Gorge a few times every year from my school in Indiana and it has become a requirement to stop at Miguel's for pizza. After a day of climbing and exploring such a gorgeous area you crave their delicious zaaa! The atmosphere is great, very easy to meet someone from the next country over and they even offer camping in their back yard! Miguel's is a must for everyone!

Miguel's Pizza ROCKS! No Pun Intended. We'd heard about it from a friend and decided after a day of hiking at the Gorge we'd try it! We absolutely LOVE this pizza. Friendly people, nice atmosphere and there are tons of toppings to choose from. We really like the order slips!!!! What a great place to end a wonderful day at the Gorge!
