The most unprofessional, mean person from this funeral home cut me off during a precession, had no lights or insignia stating he was part of a procession....almost caused me to hit him by stopping after pulling out of the school, then had the audacity to make a small two lane road into a 3 lane by swerving between me and oncoming cars to tell me "he was part of a procession and I had to stop". No cards were present and this was right as a basketball game as ending. He pulled out of the school and just STOPPED, no indication, no looking or advising oncoming traffic...and at this point NO cars were around him. Nobody could guess this guy was with a procession...just looked like a lost, senile man. stopping in the middle of a road near a school. ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS HIS JOB, LOOK BEHIND HIM AND WAVE, SOMETHING. COMMON SENSE, TRAFFIC SCHOOL 101. ..made no sense, was curt and scared my 7 year old kid in the back seat. I've been in the traffic business and I know what should be done, and if a funeral company can't even hire a competent driver, and have no flags or indications of it being a procession, well. , come on.. Rude, had no answers for my questions about why he was acting the way he was and why there was no indication of a funeral. It scares me that this place is near a school. Spend 10 bucks and buy a flashing light! Or maybe some flags for cars...if there were any to see when he stopped that is. Behavior like this near a school is scary, and could lead to something tragic. Needless to say the NKY Police will be looking into their methods of "traffic control". Take note of this and other comments before choosing this place.
Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, located at 5336 Taylormill Rd, Covington, Ky. is the most unprofessional and disrespectful organization I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I guess they feel they can treat you anyway they want because it is not like you can move your family members out of there once they are buried there. Just a little FYI about what happen to me. I have numerous family members buried there, and while visiting my mother-in-law's Mausoleum there on May 25, 2009 my wife and I decided to buy a brass vase to have attached so that we could leave flowers. We spoke to a lady named Vickie there in the office. Vickie informed us we could purchase and have the vase installed for $395. She informed us that we could do this 12 months same as cash and that it would be installed in 6-8 weeks from the day we were there. So we agreed, paid $40.00 down and have been making the monthly payments every since. I stopped by from time to time but no vase was installed after 6-8 weeks, nor after 3 months, or 4 months. On 14 Nov 2009 my wife purchased flowers and asked me to take her there to put them in the vase we had purchased, sadly it was still not there. My wife was very distraught that what she felt was a very special purchase for her mother was still not there after almost 6 months, so we stooped in the office. The girls working that day told us they had no ideal why it had not been placed yet and that someone named Gayle was in charge of that and she would contact us on Monday. On that Monday 16 Nov my wife called me very upset saying someone named Laura had called her and told her the vase had not even been ordered yet because we had not paid for it yet. My wife tried to explain that we financed it like the lady had suggested, and that we were told it would be placed 6-8 weeks from the day we signed the agreement. She told my wife that was wrong and that it would not be ordered until it was paid for in full. Never once did they offer an apology or offer to work it out since their employee had misinformed us, and we had already been waiting 5 months for what we were told would be 6-8 weeks. We were told to either pay it in full now or wait the 12 months and they would order it then, and then wait another 6-8 weeks from the final payment for it to be installed. If you don't have loved ones buried there stay away. If you do be advised you don't have to purchase accesories like, urns, monuments, markers, or vases from them. They can be purchased from other places. After the way I was treated I looked else where and found the exact same vase from the exact same manufacturer for 26% less than what they had me pay.
