    If you are looking for home-style, good Italian food, Pompilio's is your destination. Don't expect a 4-star restaurant. This is more like going to my Grandmother's house in Northeastern New Jersey. It can be loud and crowded at times. The sauce is a little sweeter than my taste prefers, but it is good all the same. Stick with the traditional Italian dishes; it's what they do best. The lasagna is my favorite.

    2007 Italian Festival: I haven't been to the restaurant in over 20 years but I recently rediscovered how great the food is. At the festival I had the Chicken and Cheese Tortellini San Lucci. It was fantastic...even just partially warm! Forget the chain restaurants. I go for the food not the ambiance. I used to go to Olive Garden and the only dish I liked was the tortellini ala fini which they removed from the menu -- haven't been back since. Other local Italian restaurants I've been to don't have tortellini on the menu. Looking forward to visiting the restaurant soon.
