User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsmaybe it's because i'm used to a different way of cooking but the last time i ate there was in 07 and i thought they were awful. the rice tasted like it was made with those chicken cubes. as far as authentic ethnic food, this is not a good town for that. there are places with good food, but after spending thirty nine years in cleveland, ohio where you actually order a pizza from a guy named nunzio, mario, anthony etc... unless they've drastically changed i wouldn't recommend this place at all, especially if you're from a big city and you're used to the way food is done there.
User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsCHINA GOURMET IS UNDER NEW OWNER SHIP, THE OTHER OWNER THAT WE LIKED SO MUCH WAS PEGGY, SHE ALWAYS MADE SURE THAT EVERYONE WAS HAPPY WITH THEIR FOOD, AND IF YOU WANTED SOMETHING SPECIAL SHE WOULD MAKE SURE IT WAS FIXED FOR YOU. THE NEW OWNERS ARE RUDE, THE FOOD DOES NOT TASTE THE SAME AS WHEN PEGGY WAS THERE, IT IS COLD, YOU ASK THEM TO FIX SOME MORE YOU GET FILTHY LOOKS AND SOMETIMES IF IT IS CLOSE TO CLOSING THEY WON'T EVEN DO IT. MY FRIENDS, FAMILY AND I ARE GOING TO FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO EAT. NOT WORTH THE TWO HOUR DRIVE FROM OUR HOUSE NOW.

Out of all the chinese restuarants I've tried, this is the best in the tristate region. They have execellent service, delicious food, and afforadable pricing. Definitely give it a try!!!!!

I too have lived in Cleveland for 34 years and this reviewer is spot on.One can not even get spicy eggplant down here! Too many chain restaurants.
