The interior of the Chimney Corner was very nice. We decided to try the special which was a gourmet individual pizza and a beer ($10.95 - would of been $11.95, but we didn't drink the beer). It took approx. 30 minutes to get our food, the plate was hot, but the pizza itself was barely warm. We sent it back, and waited another 10 minutes only to get the same pizza which was once again barely warm, the cheese on top wasn't even melted. I'm not sure if they were having oven problems or what. We didn't say anything about the pizza the second time because the waitress commented the first time she rarely gets complaints. The menu doesn't offer the "comfort foods" like I remember i.e., baked steak, mashed potatoes, meatloaf, mac & cheese, and those famous little rolls. Instead, you will find a much upscale menu with prices to match.
Chimney Corner is the BEST! People seem to be intimadated by the atmosphere at the restaurant, but they really shouldn't be. Chef Paul is very nice and makes the best food in Ashland by far! I would reccomend the Wednesday night burgers and beers to anyone. Don't worry if you are not a burger fan, the chicken sandwiches are awesome too. Save room for dessert. Chimney Corner is one experience that you will not be diappointed with. I promise!
