User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsRealy like the ambience of this neat old place.. and especially like the fact that they feature bands that play BLUEGRASS and old tyme music.... like Dixie Beeliners, Jerry Douglas, Earls Gone Wild, and many other great bands.. oh yeah.. and JAKE SPEED ROX!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI was at the Southagete House last Saturday and saw a great show the Cincinnati Surf Rock Explosion.There was a new group called the Ampfibians.During thier entire set the Bass player was wearing a frog mask! Roger and the Raybands also put on a great show.The Southgate House never fails to be entertaining.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsDefinitely Going Back!: We went to see the North Mississippi Allstars with Steel Train, both were great bands. The Southgate house rocked, there should be more places like that around. Being from out of town we found the people in Newport were friendly and the beer was cold.
