We dined at Family Fare this weekend on two different occasions. Both times the food was excellent.

For lunch on Friday I had a hot roast beef sandwich with real mashed potatoes and gravy. The beef was perfect - tender and juicy without being stringy or overcooked. The mashed potatoes were as good as any I've had. My sister ordered a chef salad that was huge and had a little bit of everything a Chef Salad should have. My niece had chocolate pie which was dark and creamy and just like the kind your mom makes.

Saturday night I ordered a T-Bone which was cooked to perfection. The rest of my party ordered different things from the menu (chicken fried steak dinner plate, pork tenderloin dinner plate, grilled chicken plate) and I can tell you that all of it was good and well worth the price.

The staff was courteous and efficient and overall it was a most pleasant experience.....great country cooking at a very affordable price. I intend to go back to Family Fare the next time I visit Cynthiana.

The Food is ok, the do have country dishes, but really not that close to real country cooking. Service is not always great, more then once I have had to wait upwards of an hour waiting on my food. For the price there are better places to eat. Was once a better place to eat but really gone down hill of late.

Cant wait to go back.: I love this place. Its a great place for a date or if your just getting off work & your too tired to cook.
