DO NOT SHOP AT FYE!
A really bad thing happened to me at FYE the other day. I was looking around their store after christmas 2008, and this ugly lady, I think she was the manager or something, kept asking me if I needed help and circling around me. When I walked out the door the alarm system went off. She was right behind me and I heard her say something like "OK you need to stop right there!". I thought little of the alarm at first because I didnt have any of their merchandise on me and wasnt stealing anything. She was soooo incredibly rude and it was a very embarrassing experience. I emptied my pockets for her and showed her the inside of my purse and took of my coat and turned around so she could see that I had nothing on me. We had an exchange of some colorful words and she told me to just go ahead and leave and dont come back, when she should have been apologizing to me. Nope, no apology whatsoever. I have racked my brain trying to understand why she thought I was stealing in the first place. All I was doing was looking through some of their dvds, reading the back descriptions, etc. But I didnt buy anything because I didnt feel anything was worth the price they asked for. Regardless I thought customers were allowed to investigate merchandise to some extent before they buy it. All I can say is what a real offensive moment this was. Being falsely accused of stealing and then asked to leave when defending myself!
Basicly I cant understand why ANYONE would want to buy their overpriced crap when they can get the same cds and dvds for much more reasonable prices from many other places. WHY would anyone want to shop at FYE unless you just want to throw money away to this greedy corporation with less than courteous staff? . Honestly it was the FIRST time I had ever been to that store and this was my humiliating and horrible experience. Shop here at your own risk!

This store never ceases to amaze me with their stupidity. Most recently I reserved a game and a movie there at the store and the sales rep told me what day I could pick up them both. When I arrived at the store to pick up the items the person at the register would not give me EITHER of the items even though she had them sitting out behind the register because she "wasn't sure if (one of the items) was released yet." And then she refused to ask.

Basically, don't pay for their over priced crap and their less than curteous staff. If you need a movie or a video game, Gamestop sits right next door and there is a Walmart 2 minutes away.
