i loved going to rafferty's in Florence, Kentucky with my volleyball team on saturday, april 5th. The food was great, expecially the potato stuoup (; Our waitor Andrew was great & very nice & charming. He brought us sprites & made the potato soup extra chunky; he said he put something special in it just for us (: well, Andrew, good job, you should get a raise for your awesome job !

Casual Atmosphere - Good Food: I had lunch here recently with two co-workers. We are all red meat eaters, so this was perfect for us. Two of us ordered the rib lunch special. My lunch started with broccoli and cheese soup. The soup was very cheesy with definite chunks of broccoli, which I love! The ribs were two racks of about 6 ribs each, with a smoky barbeque sauce that I enjoyed. I also had the garlic mashed potatos. They were obviously made of new potatos (evidenced by the red skins left in), chunky with a good amount of seasoning. I found them very good, not bland as can happen sometimes.
I have to mention our server. She was professional, but quickly 'personalized' the interaction with us. She teased one of our party about his choices, coming close to being too pushy. She must have realized she was close to crossing the line and backed off. We took it in stride as she was otherwise very friendly. The restaurant was fairly busy while we were there and I had actually drained my water glass twice while waiting for a refill, but I didn't have a very long wait.

One of my favorites: Rafferty's is one of my favorite restaurants in Florence, KY. Not only is the food great but the service is second to none. Almost every time I visit Rafferty's, my date and I get a visit from the manager to see how our meal is going. Once we had a small misunderstanding on an order and the waiter got the manager (on his own, I didn't ask to see him) and we were given credit for that meal and a gift card for a future meal. The manager and waiter went way beyond the call of duty to make our visit a pleasant one. I'm pretty much a regular now and have been for some time.

They get my vote for one if not the best in Northern KY on food and service.
