Crash comics, without a doubt, is the number one and only place to go for trading card games in paducah kentucky. I play Magic the Gathering and have never bought a single card from anywhere else. The atmosphere may not be the brightest in the world, but at least i can see in there without any trouble. Just my opinion.
Crash has a great selection of old comics, and also have many newer ones. They have lots toys and other various things, including, oddly, some weapons. Im not sure how that fits in with the rest of the store, but they have some if you need some. I mainly go there to check out there magic cards. They have fair prices and a massive collection of them. They sell singles, fat packs, booster packs, pre-made decks, and starter packs, along with the card slips and deck holders and various other things. The employees do not usually offer to help, you must ask them for help, and once you ask them, they are a great deal of help. The store is very crammed and it is hard to figure out whatever system of organization they have, or if they even have one. The lighting is irritating and dark and its very dusty. So, overall they have great products but terrible atmosphere. But its a store, not a hang out. You go there for the products. If you want a hang out, the library is in walking distance. Buy your comics or cards or rpg stuff, walk over to the library, and play or read.
I have been in this store a few too many times and I can never remember a time when it was clean or there wasn't 5-6 sweaty guys huddled around the only free table in the place playin some kinda D&D game talkin bout how hot Jean Grey is. I can understand not having alot of space, but filling the space up with the SAME people day in and day out...I think you have like a 10-12 person max capacity, not much room for customers Not ranting just go in anytime and can't miss it. They do have a good deal of nice stuff in there but it seems more like someone's life collection in their grandma's basement then a shop. I love comic books and most of us that do aren't slobs and we take showers. sorry but damn guys, thats what that water sprayer in the bathroom is for. I think I might establish my own comics shop here. It would be good competion for them and a REAL place to buy comic stuff for the rest of us.
