My husband and I ate here last night and we will not be going back ever! The food tasted like cleaner and looked like it had been on the bar for hours. I still feel sick to my stomach today. It's very sad that they up the price on the weekends and don't even give you what you pay for. Very bad food!
My wife and I visited this restaurant today as part of a trip down memory lane. I lived in Hopkinsville/Ft. Campbell, KY for almost 5 years while in the military. Jade Palace used to be our favorite place to eat, but now it's under new ownership and they are extremely rude. After taking one bite of their food, my wife and I told the waitress we were very unsatisfied and wanted to leave. After leaving and getting into our car, the same waitress flagged us down and told me we need to talk to her manager. I agreed, and the manager told me that she "ain't gonna pay for somebody else's dinner again." I then asked to speak to the owner. He was very rude, spoke very little English, and asked me to sit at a private booth with him. After doing so, he asked what was wrong with the food. I told him the Lo Mein tasted like chicken noodle soup, and the sweet and sour chicken was very old. He went to the buffet, picked out four pieces of chicken, sat back down and ate them in front of me, spitting out chunks as he was insisting it was very good. He refused to let me leave without paying the full price of the buffet, keeping in mind my wife and I had a combined two bites. He finally said, translated by a waitress to me, "He will pay for one buffet and one drink!". I paid the amount asked, and told them I would be submitting this to the BBB (which has been done now), as well as other consumer-oriented sites. I still have the original receipt, and would love to get it refunded. I am absolutely willing to do what it takes to ensure this behavior is stopped.
This is about the cleanest restaurant I've ever been in. The food is excellent and the service is always great! Very reasonable prices also.
