i have bought tires from walmart for years and have always had good luck with the product and not the sales people. last week, me and my wife went in and there was a new girl there. meldoy was by far the best add to that walmart. i have recomended people to go see her instaed of the hateful woman that usually works there. the eye place is horrible and needs new people to work there to. they were rude and hateful. over all it is alright. just dont get glasses there.

I can agree with the hateful attitud of the workers at wal-mart...it is very seldom that I run acrossed a worker that smiles or even has a shread of coustomer service.

We shop there quite a bit. In fact I wish we had bought stock since we put so much money into the store. However there are some things I wish were different about it.

Hopkinsville had 2 fabric stores when Super Walmart came to town. Now we have none and I hear our fabric department in Walmart will soon be fazed out. Which means that our nearest fabric store will be in Clarksville, Tn. Since Walmart contributed to a poor fabric department profit by not keeping personal available to cut the fabric at usual shopping hours and for the last couple of years, understocking their shelves I feel this is an insult to the needs of the people in the community.

That is one department you can not let run itself with no one in attendance.

I am also dissappointed in the direction Walmart as a whole is taking. Walmart used to point out with pride the Made in USA
products with little flags by the product and stickers on it. They also used to support the local econamy by purchasing locally made items to stock the store with. Such as the Levi products were made at Flynns or the camping stools made by the factory that employs the disabled.

The quality of the clothing has also declined. It is hard to find pretty things in the larger womens styles and very hard to find the short womens slacks. I usually have to shop K mart or Penny's for things I like. I really wish the buyers would get it through their heads that Large sizes does not mean we want LARGE PRINTS on our clothes or things that are not fashionable. Just buy the types of clothing you sell for the regulart size 10 to 18 crowd and make them in size 20 to 28. Please forget the low hip rider jeans and short tops though. I also wish you carried more American made brands.

Otherwise I have found the people who work there to be friendly and proud of their jobs. Many have worked there a good number of years and are planning on staying there until retirement. Which says a good deal about a good work environment if you are looking for a job.

I whole heartedly agree with skcj. They ran Joann's out of business and left no place to shop for fabrics and notions .So Clarksville gets more of Hopkinsvilles business. When is it going to end? If everyone loves Clarksville so much then move there. I did and hated it.
