Audio Specialists has been around for a long long time and have been voted as one of the top shops in the U.S. for the past three years with two installers listed in the top twelve nationally for three years as well. The thing about buying equipment on line, especially JL Audio is that, most manufacturers DO NOT warranty there goods if purchased of the internet, check out JLs website thats the first thing that pops up. I think that if you take into account that the guys at Audio Specialists are some of the best trained installers in the country and than that education does'nt come cheap you can understand that selling at msrp is a real bargan. Real businesses have real expenses and sell at what the manufacturer suggests hence the term MSRP.
These guys are friendly, attentive listeners and they make sure you get what you want. The installation is well above my expectation for professionalism. However, their prices are a bit steep. I'd say after you visit this place for your audio listening advancements, before you buy, do the research online. You'll find the same items that you like that they have for a fraction of the price. I recently bought 2 JL AUDIO 12W1v2's and a JL SLASH2 300/2v2 amp. Far from disappinted but after paying a little over $1,000 for everything I was curious to see what I should have paid. Yes they are under MSRP for their items but only by 10-20 dollars. The amp they priced for $480... online at other places and ebay (new condition) it ranged from $319-$449. The speakers were fairly accurate. It was only $6 more than the cheapest place I found. So overall I'm happy but a little disappointed in the price of the amp which I could have bought for $160 less. MSRP $499.99. Not much of savings. They're great, they're professional but if you can... bargain the prices or get some parts elewhere and pay them the minimal fee for installation and setup. It's worth your time to stop by.
