Bel-Air Restaurant

This was the start of our Cave City 3 night 4 day vacation. We usually steer away from BIG chain restaurants so being so close to the yogi bear campground we decided to eat here for breakfast. We were greeted by a cloud of smoke at the door. To notice it was coming from 1 table with 4 people only (poor air circulation) so we decided to walk to the back being we had 2 small children with us. We were STOPPED at the entry to the back room (we assumed that was the non-smoking section) the lady stood infront of us and said " What the front area is not good" We kindly said "No they are smoking" and we glanced backed for her to notice we had 2 small children with us incase she had not noticed. She moved out of the way rolled her eyes and say "OH MY GOD" that was enough for us to walk out without exchanging words. I can understand her frustration (mostlikely being a smokerhelf) but she should have been a bit more understanding that people who dont smoke preffer to eat without the smell of smoke especially when they are with small children. I can say this was the ONLY rude place we encountered. This is something we would have expected back at home lol but not in kentuky where everyone is beyond friendly!

Unique little local restaurant. There is not a huge selection but the food was awesome. Mashed potatoes and pot roast were awesome!!!

Dont waste your time or your money!: We went here for supper on our first night of vacation. It was such a dissapointment!! We ate buffett. They didnt even have fried chicken. It was catfish, and salisbury steak. they only had a few items to choose from and only two kinds of dessert. It seemed a little dirty. The food wasnt too good and looked like it had been there a while. To top it off it was 40 bucks for us, two kids under 10 and two adults. We were mad when when we left. Thank goodness we went elsewhere for our next meal.!! The buffett at KFC was better.
