IT used to be really good, now it is just ok: The past several times we have been there the smoke has been so thick you could not breath. I understand that smoking is allowed in there, but for those who do not smoke it is totally unfreindly. They do not give much effort when it comes to getting orders right either. It would be helpful if the cooks cared about their jobs. Chicken strips that are still frozen are not real good. Service and food have gone down hill for sure.

Wonderful comfort food: If you like a platter filled with fresh bread covered with mashed potatoes and shredded roast beef floating in a delicious brown gravy, this is the place for you. Follow this with the biggest and best slice of chocolate-mirangue pie you have ever 'forced' into your mouth and you know what the Summerland [aka. heaven-nirvana-paradise] is.

Classic Diner: Classic small diner, with the basic diner food. Also daily Plate specials. The Beef Manhatten is excellent. It can get a little smoky for those who don't smoke and noisy as well. When it is busy it may take a while to get waited on. The food is great, and worth the wait.
