Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: went to a movie on 12/27, at 12:45. the heat was just turned on, had my kids with me. it took at least an hr, to get warm. the heat should have been on at least by noon, to get ready for customers. also this no E'ville, prices are getting high. drinks and popcorn, etc. also drinks were flat. recommend dvd and popcorn and candy at home.
Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: This theater at least tried when it still had the Martin 4 to contend with, but since its become the only game in town its really let itself go. It was never a great theater to begin with though. For one, the projectors are so loud that they can be heard over the actual movie during slow scenes, but mainly its luck of the draw as far as volume goes. Some nights its so loud you have to go ask for it to be turned down while others its near inaudible. Already three times this year Ive had a movie start late, and one of those times it stopped twice more during the movie! None of the screens are digital, all of the screens are about half the size of what youd expect at a real movie theater, and the ticket prices are still near $9. Basically if you live in Madisonville and you want to have a good movie experience you drive 50 miles north to Evansville, IN. The Capitol is really that bad.
Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: When the Capitol 8 first opened it was top notch, clean, orderly, and movies started on time. Now, that it is the only theater in town, the quality has dropped noticeably. The screenings I have attended in the evening have revealed dirty, sticky floors, under-staffing, and some movies have started as much as 15 min. late. If you want an enjoyable movie outing I would suggest an early matinee.
