Baddour, David J DDS - Pataskala Dental Center

Dr. Baddour is a crook. When a dentist says,
"You have insurance so we'll utilize it..." I know I need to walk away. He replaces silver fillings because they "might" give you a problem in 5 years or so. His office is under rennovation to be turned into a dental spa. His chalked up unnecessary procedures are funding that and I didn't want any part of that. I left without making a second appointment for all of the procedures he wanted to do and went to someone else. I also couldn't believe how much he charged, luckilly since it was preventative, my insurance covered it for me.

WOW! Wish I would have read these before going. I took myself and 3 kids there. The experience was great, the staff was great. I left feeling really good about my new choice in dentist for my family. Then, I got the statement from my insurance. I was NOT happy. I took my 2 yr. old daughter for her first dental check-up. Now, all that they did was put the miror tool in her mouth and then an empty polisher was run over her teeth. Dr. Baddour checked her out...and then they charged my insurance for a FULL exam and cleaning. WHAT!?!?!
That was not my only problem. My middle child needed a filling and four sealants. I was told that they do white fillings and that some insurances do not cover them. I wasn't given the option to choose. I left paying them almost $100 for the filling and 4 sealants. NOW, I am stuck owing them $88.40 for the white filling. It would have only been $23, had I been given the choice. My bad for not checking it out first, but that's info. they should have known. They knew how much I would owe them for 4 sealants and a filling and demanded payment up front.
Then, when I got the insurance statement, I learned they only charged for 3 sealants!! HELLO!?! I paid for 4!
I have since contacted the office regarding these charges and have gotten little response. I explained to them that I felt the charges for my daughter were fraudulant and I was fully prepared to report them.
My advice, just be sure you know EXACTLY what your insurance covers and charges. The service and care are great, its the insurance practice you have to watch out for.

My kids LOVE him...which means alot! Prior to Dr.Baddour I had to take my daughter to Children's Hospital to be put under because she had a bad experience with another Dentist. Now she is ALL Smiles!!
I recommend them to everyone.
