Saturday afternoon my wife and I were in the Mill Run area and were considering 'Indian' for lunch. I remembered 'Taj Palace' so we stopped in.
The atmosphere is much more 'light and airy' than most restarents of this type and has a very plesant feel. The tables are covered with cloth table-cloths as well as cloth napkins. We chose the excellant "buffet". The selection is considerable and the presentation is well above average as are the well spiced dishes. Fresh hot 'nan' (bread) was brought to our table. Service was much more attentive and frendly than experienced at simular restarunts. All in all, among the best in Columbus!
Best saag paneer in town!: Extensive menu, flaky-not-greasy samosas, and Indian beer. Great buffet.
Awesome.: We were in the mood for curry and couldn't be bothered to drive all the way to our usual Indian restaurant on Sawmill, so we thought we'd check out this place. We opted for the buffet (obviously!) and were extremely impressed! The food was hot, fresh and delicious. We really liked it that baskets of fresh naan bread were brought to the table (tends to get dried out and rubbery sitting on the buffet bar). Service was, of course, faultless. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Taj Palace to anyone: Superb food, ample parking, pleasant ambiance and decor, and exceptional service. 10/10!
