I was very dissappointed on my last visit to the Hickory House. A group of my graduating class go out every month for dinner. There are usually anywhere from 14 to twenty of us. We like to be seated together at along table so we can talk to everyone. We called ahead to let them know we were coming so they could set up for us. We were to be there at 6:30 P.M.and Me and my Wife and two sisters were early and were told that we could not be seated until everyone had arrived. Another group came in after us and were told they would have to be seated at two different tables. They said that they did not want that, they wanted a long table and they were accommodated. They had not even called.
When we were seated we were put in four booths, we could not carry on onvesation except for the people that were in your booth. I asked the
manager why we were not accommodated and he said that the restaurant did not take reservations. But when we arrived at the restaurant they had the name of the person that called the restaurant
and a message that one of the couples were not coming. We have been
there several times in the past and never had any problems. The manager handled the situation very poorly and we will not be back. He
has lost 20 or more customers that might have been back. This happened on a Wednesday September 16,2009
