This is a great, fun place for a nice night out. Food was diverse and unique. They offer meats, veggies, seafood, breads, and dessert foods in a wide range of fondue varieties... far beyond dipping bread in hot cheese like people picture.
Food is prepared at your table for the most part and our waitress was well-versed in the menu, giving us all sorts of tips and info. I could go there again and again!
Keep in mind, this is a nice dinner, not a quick night out. Leave room in your budget as prices are higher and leave room in your night to sit awhile, have fun and enjoy.
Great Restaurant, but a bit expensive!: The Melting Pot is a great restaurant. Its a lot of fun to eat fondue. The server makes the fondue at your table, then you dip things like breads and vegetables. They also have meat platters, where you cook the meat in a hot broth on the table, then dip it in an assortment of sauces. My favorite is the chocolate fondues- they have quite a selection of them, and you dip things like fruits and pieces of cake. Casual atmosphere, and the servers are always friendly and answer your questions.
My only complaint is that it would be nice to see more varieties of cheese fondue, and also the food is pretty expensive- but that is to be expected of an upscale-type restaurant. Cheese and chocolate fondues are about $14 for 2 people, or you can get the "meal for 2" which is about $55, and includes cheese fondue and the meat platter.
If you dont want to deal with crowds, go there before 6pm. There will hardly be anyone there. Overall this is a great restaurant when you want something a bit different.
Love it...: this is a great place, just as nice as the one in Easton on the inside, you forget where you are in town, hardly ever fully booked, the later you go the more fun and attention you get, I love this and the Easton local!
