Mark Pi's Express: Mark Pi's is decent for quick downtown chinese food. I usually crave chinese once every 2 weeks or so, and I usually settle on Mark Pi's Express which is just down the block from me. It tastes great about half way into it, and then I start to regret it. Maybe I'm over-analyzing those "miscellaneous chicken parts" and creeping myself out about them, but when I start to get full I just get grossed out by it. I crave I regret, I crave I regret. It's a vicious cycle. But I keep going back, so I guess that says something.
In a perfect world, I would prefer Mark Pi's Express to use higher quality chicken chunks. I think that would make a world of difference.
a lot of food for hungery folks: I like the taste and their service size. It is alomost like double portion. Their service is fast. My only complaint is that in some branches, especially the one in Grandview around 5th Avenue, the kitchen was filthy. After seeing how dirty the place they prpepare food in and seeing disgusting wet sponge dropping dirty water(the color of sponge had turned to black) on the pot that they stir fry things and they rub with this same sponge everytime, I decided not to go to Grandview one. But in others, I did not see dirt.
