What happened to the Columbus Eagle Bar?: Too much happened, thats your answer in a simple form. The Columbus Eagle went from being the best bar in Columbus, to turning into a Drag Club. Not a true EAGLE, sorry nelly boys... This is the problem... this was an Eagle with a huge following and someone deceided to turn their backs on the faithful following and go in a new direction. Very bad for business as you can see the bar is no longer part of the Columbus' gay bars. Bruce, Columbus,Oh

OLD PICS: I am or was never an employee at the Columbus Eagle or Birdcage! I wrote the last statement also! One more question. The new owner did not like the Birdcage and also did not like the Eagle as us younger people did. Then why use pics of the BIrdcage and the Eagle?? Why not use pics of what it is now! DEAD...afraid to show on your own website what the club looks like now? Is it because there is NO ONE there??? Like I said before, you should not have moved back in time fellas!! At least when the old owner and manager had the Columbus Eagle and Birdcage, it was busy and well, they made money!!! Sorry for your loss but every other bars gain!!!

Old and Dead: I used to go to the Eagle for the past 3 years. That "was" my home bar. I understand new ownership, because every place needs a change, BUT the way they are changing it, is not right. Who in their right mind moves back in time. Aren't you supposed to go forward? Columbus, Ohio changed, so did Columbus Eagle. The old "Eagle Nest" queens, 90% are dead and gone. Columbus is a YOUNGER generation of style and attitude. Not Grandpa's and Leather. That's why it changed to begin with and was doing well. Just don't understand of why a change for the worse when you want to be better? Columbus Eagles new owners has Eagle in Exile also, why compete with another bar that's yours? I honestly hope that the club does well, but you ran EVERYONE off that enjoyed their time when it was a dance club. Like I said before, Columbus is Style and Attitude....Eagle is Old and Dead.
