The food arrived real quick and it was real tasty. A good beer selection with friendly bartenders (and servers).
Betty's is just great! The food ranges from typical diner fare (meatloaf), to some very unique dishes (plantains and yogurt). Portions are plentiful as well. I personally recommend the nachos, and cajun crab pasta.
Only two drawbacks, the place is always busy and there is really no area to wait if you want a table. The waitstaff can also be somewhat indifferent. Neither seem to stop me from going.
Great Food, Great Place, Get A Window Table: This is one of the best places in the Short North, period. There's nothing like getting a table by the window and watching the high street life drift by while you knock back a few drinks or order something from one of the best/most eclectic menus to be found anywhere in the city. The atmosphere is wonderful as is the service. If there is one drawback, its that the relatively intimate size means that it fills up fast, so if you you want a seat or a table, go early or expect to wait, because I'm not alone in my opinion of Betty's. EVERYBODY loves this place!
