Simply Amazing: I have eaten at high end establishments all over the US as well as Europe. Even with that, I can say that my meals at Handke's Cuisine are easily in the top 5 of any meals I have had in my life.
I would like to Thank You Chef Handke for continuing to offer some of the finest dinning in Columbus, Ohio.
Handke's is the restaurant jewel of Columbus: We are so lucky that Chef Handke decided to come to Columbus and open his own restaurant! The ambiance, the menu, the service and the staff's friendliness are second to none. This is the best romantic restaurant in Columbus. This is also the best special occasion restaurant! In addition to the wonderful choices on the menu, you can always count on several tempting specials. I've spent many wonderful evenings at Handke's and I hope you will too!
In a word, "Perfect": I LOVE Handke's. The food is some of the best fare in C-bus. The prices are high, but it's nothing that you wouldn't expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Take my word for this...TRY THE BUFFALO! It is Chef Handke's specialty, and not on the menu. Every once in a while they will feature it as a special when they have bought more cuts than the regulars are consuming. It's best eaten rare, or medium rare if you insist. The atmosphere is really one-of-a-kind. There is a history to the building, and it is the perfect place to bring a date, or for a formal business meeting. However, I'm not sure the intimate atmosphere is that accommodating for large groups, but I can say that I've never had sub-par service there. They have a good wine list, but it's not the most extensive I've seen. There is a traditional Captain's List and the like. For desert, I'd try the poached peach. There is no question about this one, Handke's is fine dining at its best.
