User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWith prices as low as they are, I assumed the food wouldn't be great. I was mistaken. The food is wonderful and you can't beat the prices! I agree with the other reviews, it is much more of a pub than a cafe. Try the fried green beans, they are fantastic! Also, you can bring a family. We had a baby with us and he fussed a bit. The waitress came over and said, "Would you like us to turn down the music a bit for the baby?" (We said no since the baby was just hungry) It shows that they are very accomodating.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMac's is a friendly Scottish pub, that attracts the loyal locals - an eclectic mix. I've been going to Mac's for years, and I always look forward to my next visit. The ambiance is such that I feel comfortable there by myself, or with friends. Sometimes I'll go there by myself to eat, and watch a game, while I have some beers.
The menu contains Scottish food, like Scottish pie, forfar birdie, fried cod. They also have great burgers, nachos, taco salad, veggie club. They are generous with their fries! The menu has been recently tweaked, and includes daily specials - like $6 sandwich plates, 1/2 off lasagna, 1/2 off Scottish food, etc. Call in advance if you are looking to stretch your dollar.
Equally important as the food is the service, which has always been friendly and caring. It keeps me coming back. I know I can go there and walk away happy.
