   I consider myself a pretty big drinker of coffee and have been in many shops across the US, from Starbucks to newly-opened independent stores. That being said, the few drinks I have had at Canterbury are subpar to most other establishments I have been to. Their coffee is definitely below average, and drinks that are made with espresso still just taste like coffee (there should be a difference). The only thing I have found in here worth coming back for are the variety of smoothies. Other than those, I would recommend skipping Canterbury in favor of Elijah's or The Depot in Urbana.

   a great little place in a great little town.: Really good coffee at a reasonable price. Nice ambiance. It is place like this that make us prefer the locally owned coffee houses over the big chains.
