Great food and atmosphere: Gotta love this place. The food is great. The drinks are good. And the aura of the place is classic
Good Eats and a Good Atmosphere: Easystreet has been a regular hangout/watering hole of mine for over 13 years now, and it's never lost its appeal or charm. The atmosphere is comfortable and homey...a good place to unwind and have drinks with friends, take someone on a good night out, catch live music upstairs, or just hang out.
The menu, while not the most diverse, offers a good selection of sandwiches, appetizers, burgers, drinks, beer (75 +, for their Hall of Foam club), soups, and some good, basic entrees (steak, fish, ribs, etc.), and the portions are big enough to satisfy anyone. Strong props and recommendations go to the french onion soup, the meatball sub, any of the club sandwiches, the ribs, and the half-pound burgers--especially the Hickory Burger.
Service is almost always prompt and friendly, even on busy evenings, and returning customers are often recognized by servers that took care of them before. That's been one of the selling points of the place over the years...they learned my name, took the time to chat with me when they could, and learned what I like.
It's the next best thing to Cheers.
Not everything is easy at Easy Street Cafe: I never had a bad time eating at Easy Street Cafe till last week when they could not even get my drink right. My burger was raw the first time it came out then it was so well done that it was like biting into a block of wood. Final after that they got it right but that is not the old Easy Street Cafe I remember. I don't know if they changed the cooks or what but I hope the poor eating is gone next time I go to one of my former favorit places to eat.
