The Best Experience: My husband and I recently ate a J Gilbert's on 23N. What a great Experience! Not only was the food excellent, the environment was easy to relax in. Service also topped the list; our server was very attentive, but not annoying. This is an upscale evening restaurant that is as unique as it is enjoyable. I would recommend J Gilberts to anyone looking for a private and relaxing evening for anniversaries, dates, or just great food. Thumbs up for a five star evening!
Most under-rated restaurant in the city: I have never had to wait for a table and the dinning experience is excellent. I would consider it upscale, quiet, warm, and a private place to eat. J. Gilbert's is my husband's favorite restaurant in the city and we have eaten everywhere in the city. It isn't my favorite...but it is fabulous and a great bet. It is the kind of place you go and know you will have a great experience. I can't imagine ever feeling rushed out of the place. We have been there so many times and not only never had a complaint, but have really throughly enjoyed ourselves. Give it a try. People either forget it is there or don't know where it is. I think that is why we have never waited. We have neighbors who go also every Saturday night. It is that good.
