Very good for the area, visit minimum twice a year with people from work.
We've been dining at Sam's for years. Mary Sue greets you at the door; Randy fixes a good cocktail. The steaks are melt-in-your-mouth good. The homemade potato chips are sinful. The Mose Hopper is a must dessert drink. It's a bit out of the way in tiny Blakeslee, Ohio, but worth the drive!
One of the best steak houses around. Too bad it's out of the way (Blakeslee is more remote than Mayberry). Anytime I'm traveling near Exit 15 on the Ohio Turnpike around dinner time and I have an extra few hours, I take the exit and drive the extra 15 minutes out to get to Blakeslee (the attendants at the Ramada Inn will show you how to get there). Totally worth the drive. The selection is steak, shrimp, chicken. The menu is tacked above the bar - no frills. Steelers gear adorns the wall (AWESOME) and the steaks are cooked better than what you'd get at Ruth's Chris. Everyone I've told about Sam's has called me after their first dining experience and thanked me for recommending it. Two fellows I sent to Sam's have been doing business in nearby Bryan, OH for years and never knew it was out there. They go there all of the time now. Again, it's worth the drive.
