Read the 2 previous reviews and tried it. Now I have to take the time to tell it like it is. This restaurant is NOTHING special. Entering, you are hit in the nose by an old dirty smell from the building. Checked out the buffet and it was unappetizing and pathetic looking. Turkey was offered and it sat in a stainless steel serving pan in chunks floating in broth. Ham was offered and it too was set out the same way and was dark, dry looking chunks floating in broth. The ham and turkey I'm familiar with is sliceable and juicy. At almost $10 per person, it was not a reasonably priced buffet so we ordered from the menu. Turns out the turkey I ordered and the noodles and dressing were scooped off the buffet spread and brought to me.
I believe the mashed potatoes were instant, the bread was nothing more than Wonder Bread from a wrapper and the salad was bitter white lettuce with nothing else and covered with a garlicky bottled ranch dressing. How sad to advertise this like it is "genuine home cooking" cymbolic of the midwest farm communities.
great Sunday brunch or after 4:00 everyday buffet: Can't say any thing bad except the food is so good that you may find yourself over indulging on some of the best homestyle cooking around!
Excellent: If you like the Amish style cooking, you'll love it here! They have a limited buffet, but it is wonderful. The deserts are always a surprise by the cook and usually can not be duplicated. Try it, you'll love it!
