My experience at Rockwells was by far the worst in my many years of fine dining! I almost felt that cameras were on our table to see how far we would be pushed before we broke down.
I was with a table of ten and we went to celebrate two birthdays, mine being one.
The server horrible. Never cordial and never responsive to us what so ever. She never brought bread, took the salad away before ever asking if anyone objected, never asked if our food was ok, missed an order entirely (the other birthday guest, by the way). No water or drinks for a long time.
I love fine dining,, love the time it takes and the slow pampering,,,, NO, NO, NO,, it was just SLOW and BAD!!!! There should never be a time a guest in a fine restaurant has an empty place in front of them. EVER! We were left in the dark for many times. OK,, all times.
I would have sent my food back,,, but the server hid, and never came back,, and I was hungry, we were all hungry. We had to steal folks and knifes from empty tables just to eat. Steak plates should have been so hot it sizzled,, I could pick my plate up. Nothing hot! AT ALL! NOTHING.
Great concept,,,, unacceptable execution.
They took some money off our bill,, but not enough for me to go back, and too little for me to ever recommend this restaurant anyone.
The manager was stuffing her face with nachos as we left,,, the last people to leave her restaurant,,, and she said nothing to us as we left,,,, just a vision of her chowing down food. Low class restaurant and NO stars!!!
Do not go. Fine dining??? Think not!!!!

Hands down the best restaurant in Toledo. If you are willing to spend a little money then go here!! The atmosphere is classic, the service is great, and the food is unbeatable! The food comes ala cart and the servers give one time to eat and enjoy your food. They do not rush you to eat and get out they value you and your time. I come every chance I can!! Could not suggest it more!!

My wife and I have wanted to come to Rockwell's for some time as we have heard very good things. The view and atmosphere is very nice! The food was good, but not what we expected. Our service started out well, but ended up very disappointing as our server must have been ordered to help out with another table. She seemed to disappear through the 2nd 1/2 of the meal. We had to ask another server for help and the hostess for our check. The leftovers that were boxed for us were never brought out, even after a few requests. Overall, a less than positive experience for a very nice place.
