Sebastiano's

Amazing food, cute restaraunt: The owner is from Florence Italy and he and hsi wife make some of the best pasta I have ever had. Very well decorated and reasonably priced.

Long on cuisine, short on ambiance: Sebastiano's is a real find in South Toledo. The food is superb. Well prepared and beautifully presented. The skew is to Italian, and almost everything on the menu is a clear winner. The pasta is prefectly prepared, and all items are flavorful and well thought out. The chef is obviously very talented and right on track.

On Thursday evenings, it's a total treat: delightful song stylings by an extremely talented vocalist and an equally talented accompanist. What a pleasure to listen to music that is not overpowering. It's like an evening in mid-town Manhattan where Cole Porter and George Gershwin prevail.

Where Sebastiano's falls short is ambiance. It's a strange mix of ice ceam parlor (go figure) and restaurant. The dining room is spartan, over-lit, and has about as much atmosphere as a McDonald's. It desperately needs the guidance of an experienced interior designer to make it on a par with the quality of the food. The service, on the other hand, is excellent. The waitstaff is obviously experienced, and they are very attentive without being instrusive.
