Simply the best in town, great consistency for over 50 years. These guys really know what they're doing.

Very disappointed in Mancy's. My wife & I went there for our 21st anniversary and dressed up....people all around us in jeans, t-shirts & shorts...not the way it used to be. The steaks weren't cooked to order...actually rather rare (raw) and for the $$ you drop in this dump it was not pleasant at all. With all the restaurants in NW Ohio & SE Michigan, we will not visit Mancy's Steak or any of their other eateries again.

Mancy's is a Toledo institution. Not that many years ago, if you said, "Steak" around here, it was synonymous with Mancy's. That has changed a little over the course of time.

They have many other options on the menu, but their signature items remain steaks. Virtually all cuts are good. The New York strip is still one of the best sellers. Often, you can combine the beef with a lobster tail - at market price (which can be off the charts). Generally, the steaks are well-prepared per your request. Like any good steakhouse, avoid the "well-done" request. No matter how good the steak, asking for well-done is going to produce a less than great product.

One of the best items on the menu is the lobster bisque. It's got a little "bite," and it's definitely the best soup of the bunch. Their bread is nice and fresh and warm. The bread basket comes with some exceptionally good flat bread. The salads are crisp, fresh, and well-chilled.

Lunches are a good value. They have some special luncheon items, depending on the season. Although it's only for a limited time, the meatloaf is one of the best values – a wonderfully homemade loaf (probably with their own ground beef) with a mound of real mashed potatoes, rich thick gravy, and a nice topping of onion straws.

The downside of Mancy's is the decor. Virtually nothing, and I mean nothing, has changed over the years. It is, in a word, "dreary." Even at lunchtime, it's like eating in a dungeon. Perhaps this is part of the Mancy charm, but it could use a little "brightening."

As to dinner prices, Mancy's is not cheap. And some may argue that the steak prices are not commensurate with the quality. Decide for yourself. If you think it's worth the price, you'll be back. If not, there are other steakhouse options in town - including the Maumee Chop House.
