Great zoo. We visit at least once a month. Unlike some other zoos, everything is not spread out where you have to walk forever between exhibits. We have had a membership for years and only go for a couple of hours at a time so it never gets boring and you don't kill your feet. That's the way to go. Visit often and you'll see something different all the time, whether it's a new animal, a new exhibit or a new behavior.
One word of caution: There are NO ATM machines inside the zoo. The ONLY ATM is at the entrance, near the ticket counters. Most locations inside the zoo will take your card but some won't. It's really not a big deal but it may become annoying if you don't have cash in your pocket and want to buy a drink or snack from a small snack stand.
It is good and they have done alot for it including the ampitheatre. It is very concert friendly, and they get some good acts in there. I always enjoyed the zoo and the only thing that I can say negative is that too bad that the tunnel isn't still open under the trail because that was always fun as a kid, and my neices and nephews would enjoy it now as much as we did back then.
I've been going there since I was a kid,...I'm so happy that I can do the same for my kids
