In accordance with the Unitarian Universalist beliefs, this congregation is truly a place where all are welcome. On any given Sunday, I might worship with Christians, Buddhists, Pagans, Agnostics, Atheists, and Daoists. And plenty of people who do not label themselves spiritually. There are people from all social spectrums, straight and gay, married and single. There are teachers, artists, musicians, and scientists. This congregation has no creed, but believes that "Each individual has a right and a responsibility to follow their own spiritual path".
"Sermons" might focus on any number of things. Refugee issues, the environment, poetry, literature, the arts, scientific discovery, the wonders of the universe and tolerance have been discussed recently. Part of the beauty of this congregation is that there is a wonderful time of conversation after the service. Share your thoughts on what the speaker said. Ask someone about their beliefs. Make contact with people who have similar goals or ideals. And have a great time doing it!
Services begin at 10:30am on Sundays. Other groups, such as the Drum Circle, meditation group, and religious education group meet at different times. You can call the church for details.
I sincerely hope that if you are currenty looking for a church, or simply want to make contact with people of different beliefs or interests, you will join us. I was impressed and shocked, after years in different churches, that visitors were asked not to give during the offering, so that nobody ever feels obligated.
Blessings!
