I ordered the roast beef sandwich, expecting a sandwich. It came more like an open faced sandwich. The word gravy never appeared on the menu but the entire plate was SWIMMING in gravy!! It was running off the edges of the plate! Disgusting! The "roast beef" was the dryest, most over cooked beef I've ever seen at a restuarant. Their mashed potatoes are also the worst I have ever had. They taste like they're made with water instead of milk. Not kidding. The best tasting thing on the plate was the slices of white bread(also soaked in gravy). The bread in their bread baskets is also crap. It's just slices of mediocre commercially bought bread. I'm sure there are other things on the menu I would have enjoyed better, but based on the dismal quality of this visit, I would never bother with this place again.

MY apologies to Brennan's where I have often enjoyed a good meal.I am editing this review by adding this preface because I realized that I was talking about Pickle Bill's when I wrote this review.I ate there last month and had the worst lobster tail I've ever had. Went back this month and tried the sauteed scallops. The were very tough and chewy, and not very good flavor. The baked potato was terrible. The salad was so so. My companion also did not enjoy her meal. The prices are way too high for the quality. The only good thing was the chocolate mousse for dessert. The waiter was not very attentive and messed up what I had asked for with the baked potato. He never did return with it. I won't be returning there.

This place took a dive after the new ownership. The walleye used to be huge white fish bigger than the plate. Now it's a smaller piece with a bigger price and a black bloodline which always used to be cut out.I returned it twice and finally told them to take it off the bill after the manager came to the table with twenty questions that were obvious. The baked potatos always seem like they were made the day (or days) before which the waitress even agreed.Try the fish sandwich at Mc donalds and save your money
