i first thought first federal was going to be a great experience. boy was i wrong. they wasted all of my time and cost me a deal of a lifetime. i even asked questions which they could not answer. then the first time i was not approved (3weeks in to my 30 day closing) i asked the branch manager what was wrong with the loan. She said what was wrong, and i made the nessessary changes. (Mind you we have to close in 10 days now). i sent her the changes and began the waiting game again!! the seller was asking for some answers the tenth day, and i called, the branch manager she said the underwriter hasn't made her decision yet. (like she hasn't wasted enough of my time).ok now we are past the closing date and im calling twice a day to find out nothing. Now its friday and the seller will wait no longer. I call FIRST FEDERAL SAVINGS AND LOAN and the branch manager says she will call their underwriter (their only underwriter if that isnt pathetic enough ) so she says she will call me by 5:00pm or after and give me an answer. so i say fine. thinking to myself how could i be denied again after fixing all the problems that they requested. but guess what, i get a phone call at 5:50pm on friday and it is the branch manager " I just talked to the underwriter and she didnt approve your loan" again!!!! what was the reason for this denial, one of the two reasons it was denied the first time. information that would have been useful a long time ago. so i can honestly say (as a real estate investor) i have never dealt with such incompetence and unprofessional conduct. in closing i think that the underwriter for the avon branch (because they only have one) is overworked or overpaid either way i strongly recommend that No one even drive passed that building they call a bank! I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN AND REGRET EVER STEPPING FOOT IN THERE! I feel that we were given alot of false information from the manager. We were told we shouldn't have a problem and rental property wouldn't go against us. Obviously that was false informaion, as we were denied for that reason the second time. You had two loan applicants with over 700 credit scores and pays all there bills on time. All this bank did was waste are time and a good investment for us. In the future, we will never recommend this bank to anyone, nor would we ever apply for anything through your branches.
Where did the customer service go to?: When I went to deposit a check trough the drive tru instead of the teller asking me " How can I help you or Good Morning how can I help you" I got " so what Im I doing , what do you want" I dont think that's customer service, I think they need a l retraining on what customer service is. Honestly i felt that I was a bother to them.
