The Good Life: My twin sister, Tracey and I were treated to dinner at Don's Lighthouse for our birthday. It's a meal I won't soon forget. We ordered the Surf and Turf special, I got an appetizer of the crab cakes that melted in my mouth, with just enough seasoning and flavor. Of course, we sampled each other's meals.
Tracey's sirloin tips, although too well done for her, were perfect for me.
We enjoyed mashed garlic potatoes and aparagus that was tender and
cooked just so.
There was no room at the inn for dessert, but Tracey and Paul still had the remainder of the fresh salads for doggie bags.
I only wish my Birthday was everyday, but I'm aging fast enough!
The service was excellent and it was late lunch/early evening with a light August night crowd.
