Caledonia Elementary School

. . . This newly built [2008] elementary school is located in a quiet suburban neighborhood tucked between North Taylor Road and Noble Road. It's slogan is
'We strive for excellence,' and excellence is exactly what you get when you enter this supurb educational establishment.
I rated this school with four stars, and this is only because of it's one flaw - one of the two kindergarden teachers there has a personality that almost anyone would agree is unfitting for a teacher - especially a kindergarden teacher. She talks 'at' parents as opposed to 'to' them, and she will stand in the presence of a parent of one of her students and will not acknowlege them at all. When asked a question by a parent, she will answer hastily - almost as if she resents even having to converse with them, and then she'll turn her head away before the parent is done speaking. At any given time, you can observe the parents mingling outside of the door as they wait for their youngsters to be released, complaining in hushed whispers about how completely unsatisfied they are with this particular teacher. No one will complain because they - we - all fear the same fate, that our complint will go down on our child's permenant record, hence labeling us [as a parent] as 'an inveterate complainer,' hence leaving us no leave-way for our oppinion to be respected in the future. All of us [parents] share the same grim reassurance - "This is only for one school year, not the rest of our child's schhol life - surely we can tolerate this woman for eight more months." I purposely didn't mention the teacher's name - actually I didn't have to, because as I've emphasised - there are only two kindergarden teacher at Caledonia Elementary School - and the other teacher is the complete opposite. Just stop by and stand outside of the kindergarden door for the 2:40 dismissel, and right away you'll notice two things - one(1), that I didn't lie, or even exagerate - and two(2), which of the teachers I was referring to. But while you're there, please take the time out to notice how genuinely warm and friendly the rest of the staff are - and how inviting the atmosphere is!
