User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWe had dinner at Guarino's Restaurant with 9 other friends. For many years this was one of our favorite restaurants. What has happened? The girl who seated us was very rude when 6 of the 17 people didn't show up- even though the seating area was never filled to capacity. Our drinks took forever to be brought to the table, the main course took an hour to be served, and 9 of the 11 dishes were actually "cool", and a couple were obviously cooked in a microwave. The 16% tip is automatically added to the bill and that was not deserved. (Ordinarily we tip 20%) The garden/patio atmosphere was lovely but even that was ruined because of the very loud jazz music (not ambience - just loud noise) that prevented normal conversation. Three requests to lower the volume was made to the servers but nothing was done. Finally one of us actually walked over to the musicians twice before they lowered the volume. The gentleman valet was polite, efficient and deserved his tips! What a shame - there are now 11 people who will never return (we travelled 1 hr and 15 minutes to get there!)

January 2000 It was one of the coldest weekends of the winter. My boyfriend sent me invitation for weekend getaway, that he was pick up at 5pm on Friday and to have overnight bag pack ready with one nice outfit. He blindfold me, till we got there. They had lights on outside that were twightling on the front of the building with softlighting in the foyer of restaurant when walked in. It was so romantic! We check in the manager, she shows up stairs to our room, that was cozy and cute and very romantic, she had a bottle of wine and cheese on the table for us to enjoy before we dress for dinner downstairs on they made vegetarian dinner for me that was wonderful! I got engaged that night there, we had such a wonderful time. We even spend saturday there too. We would like to do it again this year for our anniversay.
