West Side Skates has been supporting the local skateboard scene in Cleveland , Lakewood , and surrounding suburbs for almost 15 years . Very friendly and knowledgeable owner Brian Jules has the kindred local spirit much like Ken Schneider did when Schneider Bikes was opened . There's always the few kids that just need " one bolt " , or " one bearing " , which they can find free of charge at West Side Skates . Since moving last January into a larger building , West Side Skates continues to expand . An art gallery with seating is in the works , as well as a projector setup to premiere new skateboard films such as Alien Workshop's " Mindfield " , Flip's " Extremely Sorry " , and locally shot skateboarders . The selection of companies is simply put , amazing . Clothing , Shoes and Accessories from Supra/KREW , Nike SB , Lakai , SPY , LRG , WESC , Nixon , Electric , Altamont , DKG/KAYO , Adidas , Vox , Von Zipper , DC , Van's , eS , Etnies , Emerica , iPath , Fallen , RVCA , NHS , Deluxe , Alien Workshop/Habitat , Skateboard decks and supplies such as bearings , wheels , bushings , hardware from Anti Hero , Real , Krooked , Santa Cruz , Black Label , Creature , Independent , Pro-Tec , Venture , Krux , Royal , Thunder , Habitat , Alien Workshop , Tensor , Foundation , Zoo York , Flip , Stereo , Cliche , Mystery , Deathwish , Baker , Toy Machine , Enjoi , Doh Doh's , Almost , Plan B , Skate Mental , and Long-boarding support with Loaded , Sector 9 , Original , Orangutan , Powerballs , Randall , and more .
