Best chocolate cake in Cleveland: I have been to this place a few times and have never been disappointed. It's biggest draw for me: the flourless chocolate torte. Though still engaged in a fiery debate over the champion, my friends and I agree that Nite Town's flourless torte is a forerunner in the Best Chocolate Cake in Cleveland competition. Even outside the cake however, I really like this place; the food has always been good, the ambiance very nice, and the service pleasant. You won't regret a visit.
Nighttown has become our 'go to' restaruant.: For the last 3 or 4 years they've been amazing in both food and service. We are especially fond of their lunch/brunch menus..In fact that's where we were Christmas Eve. Brunch at Nighttown.
While my wife waffles (no pun intended) on what she's going to order I'm addicted to the Lobster Benedict which is Eggs Benedict plus Lobster meat. The home fries (I think they call them Pan Fries) are super.
This last visit my wife went for the lunch sized portion of Dublin Lawyer. This is a house speciality which we stayed away from for years and you might understand when you hear the ingredients..Lobster meat sauteed with mushrooms and scallions in a mild Cayenne butter with Irish whiskey and cream and served with rice pilaf.
Scallions=greens, must be health food.
We're also big fans of their steamed mussels and Halboumi Kabobs which are cheese kabobs that are grilled. No, the cheese doesn't melt.
The menu includes everything from a Lamb Stew to Reuben sandwhiches and Fish and Chips.
French Onion soup, Ceasar Salad and Roasted Duck Breast Salad are tasty treats also.
If you're not familiar with Nighttown you might want to call ahead. They do cater parties and have live entertainment on some nights.
Oh, did I mention their outdoor garden with the waterfall? No? Maybe next time. They're also one of the few businesses with their own power generator so when storms shut down the lights they're still alive and hopping. They're worth more than a casual look but the bar is a good place to just hang out.
